After growing up in Jefferson County, Colorado, and obtaining a Mechanical Engineering degree from the University of Colorado at Boulder, Shane worked as an engineer at Sony Electronics and numerous startups.  Shane subsequently obtained his law degree from the University of Denver and is now a Partner at the law firm Neugeboren O’Dowd PC, located in Louisville, Colorado.  Shane provides counsel to his clients in the fields of intellectual property & business law.  Throughout his nearly twenty-years of providing legal counsel, Shane’s focus has been on securing protection for his client’s inventions and brands by acquiring patents and trademarks on behalf of his clients, monetizing these assets through licensing, and enforcing his clients’ rights on competitors, when needed.  Shane also provides counsel to his clients in (i) preparing and negotiating customer and vendor agreements, and (ii) business transactions which affect the ownership of a client or the client’s strategic assets
