SMALL BUSINESS RESOURCES​

A comprehensive, cost-effective platform that provides companies, institutions, and organizations with cybersecurity information, resources, tools, and training. Our mission is to improve cybersecurity readiness, resiliency, and compliance for small/medium-sized businesses and the federal manufacturing supply chain.

The Dynamic Small Business Search (DSBS) is a website database by the U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA) used to locate government contractors to meet federal small business acquisition needs.  See more information here:  https://connect.sba.gov/

Designed to help eligible small businesses (proteges) gain capacity and win government contracts through partnerships with more experienced companies (mentors).

SCORE, a resource partner of the U.S. Small Business Administration, is a nonprofit association dedicated to educating entrepreneurs and helping small businesses start, grow, and operate succesfully. Score’s all volunteer mentors use their years of real-world practical business experience to assist clients and addresss their business issues. SBA Provides free business counseling, SBA-guaranteed business loans, home & business disaster loans, and contracting assistance programs. 

Provides small business owners and aspiring entrepreneurs FREE face-to-face business consulting and at-cost training by helping local businesses start, grow and thrive.

The Exchange serves soldiers, airmen and their families around the world, selling products across 12,000 Exchange facilities worldwide, in catalogs and online. 

Certification with SBA allows service-disabled veteran-owned small businesses (SDVOSBs) to compete for federal sole-source and set-aside contracts across the federal government. Certified veteran-owned small businesses (VOSBs) have additional opportunities to pursue sole-source and set-aside contracts at the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) under the VA’s Vets First program. Program designed to increase the number of women-owned small businesses being awarded federal contracts. WOSB certification application is available at wosb.certify.sba.gov.

FEDERAL RESOURCES

ASSIST is a robust, comprehensive web site used by standardization management activities to develop, coordinate, distribute, and manage defense and federal specifications and standards, military handbooks, commercial item descriptions, data item descriptions, and related technical documents prepared in accordance with the policies and procedures of the Defense Standardization Program (DSP).

Contract opportunities are procurement notices from federal contracting offices. Anyone interested in doing business with the government can use this system to search opportunities.

Defense Pricing and Contracting

Responsible for all pricing, contracting, and procurement policy matters, including e-Business, in the DoD.

The official DSP website that identifies, develops, manages, and provides access to standardization processes, products, and services.

Grants provided to state, local, tribal, and territorial jurisdictions that can be used for training, exercises, planning, personnel, and equipment to prepare for many threats and hazards through DHS.

The official website to search, view, and submit quotes on Requests For Quotes, Request For Proposals, Invitations For Bids, Awards, etc., for Defense Logistics Agency items of supply.

FedConnect complements SAM Contract Opportunities and Grants.gov.  It is a Government Acquisition and Grants Portal. FedConnect goes beyond the basic features of those systems to provide full lifecycle support including the ability to post opportunities, receive responses, deliver awards, and communicate throughout the pre-award, award, and post-award phases using FedConnect’s secure 2-way messaging.

Primary regulation for use by all executive agencies in their acquisitions of supplies and services with appropriated funds.

FPDS serves Federal government contractors by; providing greater transparency and visibility into government contracting, providing a powerful business decision-making tool for the contracting community, creating a foundation for standardizing contracting processes and enabling a self-service web accessible reporting tool.

Congress enacted the bipartisan Corporate Transparency Act to curb illicit finance in 2021. This law requires many companies doing business in the United States to report information about who ultimately owns or controls them.  As of January 1, 2024, many companies in the United States must report information about their beneficial owners—the individuals who ultimately own or control the company—to the Financial Crimes Enforcement Network (FinCEN), a bureau of the U.S. Department of the Treasury.

VIPR Virtual Incident Procurement (VIPR) is a web-based Forest Service application designed to administer preseason Incident Blanket Purchase Agreements (I-BPAs – formerly referred to as Emergency Equipment Rental Agreements or EERAs).

VIPR has the functionality to solicit, award, and manage preseason I-BPAs, and was implemented nationwide in January of 2009. In future years, VIPR will automate other preseason incident procurements, such as aviation contracts, crew contracts, and mobile shower and food services.

The IAE program is a part of the Office of Systems Management, operated by FAS, which manages, integrates, and unifies the federal award process for the United States government acquisition workforce, its business partners, and the assistance communities. The IAE supports GSA’s objectives by modernizing the award experience through innovative and user-friendly systems.

DoD’s Mentor-Protégé Program is the oldest continuously operating federal mentor-protégé program in existence. Originally established in the midst of the First Gulf War, the MPP helps eligible small businesses expand their footprint in the defense industrial base.

Previously known as Wide Area Workflow (WAWF), Procurement Integrated Enterprise Environment is a secure, web-based system for electronic invoicing, receipt and acceptance.
