Michelle is excited to join Colorado APEX and support the state’s small businesses and nonprofits as they navigate federal acquisition opportunities. With nearly 20 years as a warranted Contracting Officer she brings deep expertise in the FAR, agency supplements, and complex procurement strategy. Her federal career spans the Departments of Defense, Interior, and Energy, including work on defense programs, national revitalization initiatives, and large‑scale land and environmental management.
In Colorado, she has partnered with regional nonprofits and small businesses to help strengthen readiness, improve compliance confidence, and turn federal and other requirements into clear, actionable steps. She also provides guidance on grant standards and funding pathways for organizations preparing to grow.
Living rurally in Colorado, she understands the challenges facing small communities. Through her advisory work and her role as a Licensed Colorado Realtor, she supports rural property needs, facility planning, and land‑use navigation—contributing to economic development at both the local and federal levels.
